The China (Export) Containerized Freight Index (CCFI) tracks freight rates on 12 routes from 10 Chinese ports, serving as an influential indicator for the global container market sponsored by China's Ministry of Transport in the maritime sector. In February 2026, the maximum was 1122.15 points, the minimum — 1044.57 points, the average level — 1084.95 points. The index is published weekly by the Shanghai Shipping Exchange with a base of 1000 points on January 1, 1998, and formulated by a committee of 23 shipping companies.
