The index is a cash-settled futures contract based on the monthly average of Fastmarkets’ premium assessments for P1020A aluminium (duty paid, Rotterdam) in USD per tonne. It reflects the premium over the LME base price, including delivery and duties in the European market, with a lot size of 25 tonnes and trading on LMEselect or by phone. The final settlement index is published by LME the next business day after trading ends on the last working day of the month.
