E-Home Launches a Dedicated AI Service Robot for China's Household Services Market

Ushering in a New Services Plus Smart Hardware ModelE-Home Household Service Holdings Limited (Nasdaq: EJH) ("E-Home" or the "Company"), a Nasdaq-listed integrated household services provider, today announced that it has launched a project to develop an AI service robot specifically designed for the household services industry. The project will initially focus on two high-demand use cases: in-home cleaning services and assistance for home-based eldercare. The initiative is intended to strengthen the Company's differentiated competitive capabilities and advance its transformation from a traditional labor-based household services provider into a dual-engine model combining household services and AI-powered smart hardware.China's household services and home-based eldercare markets continue to expand and have reached a combined scale measured in trillions of yuan. However, the industry continues to face rising labor costs, recruitment difficulties and a significant shortage of eldercare workers. Most smart cleaning products currently available are general consumer robotic vacuums designed for routine use by individual households. The market lacks a purpose-built robotic solution that is deeply integrated with the workflows of professional in-home household services and community-based home eldercare. Leveraging years of frontline operating data accumulated through its household services business, E-Home has begun advancing research and development of its dedicated AI service robot, seeking to address the market gap for an industry-specific robot developed by a household services provider. The household services AI robot is designed for two primary applications. In the in-home cleaning scenario, the robot is expected to identify floor stains autonomously and perform repetitive physical tasks such as deep floor cleaning and dust removal from furniture surfaces. As an assistive tool for cleaning personnel, it is intended to reduce physical strain, improve the efficiency of each service visit and help service outlets handle more customer orders within the same period. In the home-based eldercare assistance scenario, the device is expected to feature an intelligent voice interaction system supporting voice inquiries, scheduled medication reminders, routine environmental inspections and one-touch emergency alerts. These functions are intended to supplement eldercare services and help address the shortage of home-care personnel in China. The robots are expected to connect to the Company's self-developed cloud-based management platform, which is currently under development. The Company's headquarters and franchise outlets across China will be able to monitor device operations centrally, collect frontline feedback and continuously refine the AI models.Wenshan Xie, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of E-Home, commented, "Labor shortages and rising labor costs have become key constraints on the development of the household services industry. General-purpose consumer smart devices are difficult to integrate with our complex offline service workflows, which is an important reason we initiated this industry-specific AI robot project. We have always believed that AI-powered hardware should not replace frontline household service workers. Instead, it should take on a substantial portion of repetitive physical work so that service personnel can devote more time and attention to the human-centered aspects of care and service. We have high expectations for the future commercialization potential of this household services AI robot. The project is currently progressing in an orderly manner. At a later stage, we plan to conduct pilot programs at selected core franchise outlets and partner eldercare communities, and then gradually expand deployment after the product's performance has matured."The Company stated that the AI household services robot project represents a milestone in its digital transformation strategy. While continuing to strengthen its existing businesses in home appliance maintenance, household cleaning, commercial cleaning and home-based eldercare, the Company plans to develop AI-powered smart hardware as an important new growth driver. By using the robot to support its nationwide franchise service network, the Company believes it may further improve operating efficiency, create new revenue opportunities and capture the significant market opportunities arising from China's household services sector and silver economy.
