CFETS FX Swap (All-in rate) is an outright forward exchange rate that reflects the total cost of a foreign exchange swap. This rate incorporates the current spot exchange rate and the swap points, which represent a premium or discount based on the interest rate differential between the two currencies. The buyer and seller agree to exchange currencies at this predetermined rate at a future date, which locks in the cost of borrowing one currency against another. The curve of such rates for various tenors is a key indicator of market expectations regarding the future value of a currency and the cost of funding.
