Foreign investors were net buyers, adding $423.1m to Turkish assets in the week of 4–11 September 2026, led by $277.7m in equities and $151.2m in government bonds (definite purchases) while selling $5.8m in corporate bonds. The BIST100 rose 3.25% and the 2‑year benchmark yield eased 4 bps. Foreign ownership in equities increased to 33.0% from 32.5% the prior week.
Year-to-date, foreigners accumulated $1.59bn in equities, $2.01bn in government bonds and $4.09bn in corporate bonds, totaling $7.69bn in net securities inflows. Over the past 12 months, net inflows reached $11.72bn, with $2.76bn to equities, $4.88bn to government bonds and $4.08bn to corporate bonds. Despite the weekly rise, foreign equity ownership remains below 36.3% at end‑2025 and 37.7% a year ago. The BIST100 is up 25.82% YTD and 39.48% YoY, while the benchmark yield is up 315 bps YTD and down 77 bps YoY.
